Misconceptions related to dermal fillers

Do you feel that you knowledge related to anti aging skin care products such as dermal fillers is up to snuff? Almost all the individuals who have crossed their 30s spend at least an hour with magnifying glass in their hand to closely examine every single fine line and wrinkle that seems to be cropping up on their face. More often than not, they will find a line on their forehead or a laugh line getting deeper with each passing day. A lot of them would pull or prod their face to figure out how they would look without these hated signs of aging on their face. However, in this age where there are scores of anti aging products available in the market, such as dermal fillers and botox, you need not pray for any sort of magic as these treatments can actually wipe off the wrinkles, that too within a matter of minutes.

Unfortunately, a lot of people prefer to stay away from it as they are surrounded by scores of myths related to dermal fillers which actually make them apprehensive. And then there are others who set high levels of expectations, and end up disappointed with the results after receiving the treatment. Therefore, before you make the decision to go for the treatment, you should get rid of the misconceptions.

One of the common myths is that dermal fillers and botox are one and the same. Although both these product perform the same function, they do it in an entirely different manner. Dermal fillers are injected into the problem areas with a type of substance that erases the wrinkles. Botox, on the other hand, is injected into the facial muscles, which leads to partial paralysis of such muscles for a certain period of time. It is this paralysis that leads to the removal of wrinkles. So do not make the mistake of treating these treatments as same.

Many people do not go for dermal fillers as they believe that they end up distorting facial expressions. However, it is nothing but a misconception as the drug simply fills up the facial skin with a substance and inflates it a little, thereby leading to skin tightening and removal of wrinkles.

If you are not going for the treatment believing that it prove to be very painful, then you are again making a big mistake as the only discomfort you are going to experience during the treatment is when the needle will be injected into your skin.
